The project explores how traditional winemaking culture can coexist with contemporary industrial production in Ticino’s Maggia Valley. The design begins with the preservation of the existing stone buildings and extends outward through a series of new volumes shaped by production flow, landscape, and views. Traditional and industrial winemaking remain spatially distinct while gradually converging through shared circulation and bottling processes. Courtyards, transitional spaces, and carefully framed openings connect visitors, workers, vineyards, river, and forest. Rather than replacing the existing fabric, the project uses architecture to negotiate between heritage, modern production, and the natural landscape.
