Cantina Sulla Collina
Lucas Li, Lauren Martinez, Kayla Stock
On the hillside above Borgo Lodano, a winery quietly grows from two existing buildings. Inspired by the idea of “manmade in nature,” the winery becomes a sculptural presence, deeply embedded in the ground, resting gently within the landscape. Through a gravity-based winemaking strategy, the building descends into the earth. Visitors and production move through interwoven spaces, guided by three vertical cores and a canyon-like axis formed by intersecting grids (from the existing buildings). The journey culminates on a platform facing the vast valley, where architecture, land, and experience meets.
